From June 2 to 5, SmartControl made a simultaneous appearance at NRF 2026 APAC in Singapore and COMPUTEX Taipei 2026, presenting its latest product portfolio and smart display solutions. The company engaged with global customers and partners on retail digitalization needs, product applications, and real-world deployment scenarios.

At COMPUTEX Taipei 2026, SmartControl exhibited at the ePaper Industry Zone curated by E Ink Holdings. The zone brought together ePaper ecosystem partners, showcasing the complete industry chain from key materials, ePaper modules, and IC design to end-device applications — offering visitors a clear view of how ePaper technology is extending across diverse scenarios.

As a long-term ecosystem partner of E Ink in the ePaper space, SmartControl focused on the smart shelf scenario, demonstrating how ePaper price tags, wireless base stations, and cloud platforms work together to drive practical deployment in retail stores.

In the live demonstration, ePaper labels went beyond being mere replacements for paper tags — they served as digital touchpoints linking products, pricing, and store management systems. Leveraging ePaper's low power consumption, bistable display (retaining content without power), and paper-like clarity, stores can reduce manual repetitive work while keeping shelf information clearer and more accurate.

On the digital operations front, SmartControl's ePaper display technology, combined with its proprietary SaaS cloud platform and wireless base stations, enables unified management of multi-terminal, multi-store information. This allows efficient updates of pricing, promotions, and product information — driving retail operations toward greater efficiency and intelligence.

At NRF APAC, SmartControl made a major presence with its Q-series ePaper shelf labels, LCD smart signage products, new printer lineup, and multi-scenario solutions. Targeting diverse retail formats — supermarkets, convenience stores, fresh food, consumer electronics, drugstores, and apparel — the company presented highly adaptable product combinations tailored to various merchandising and operational needs.

How should different retail sectors choose the right smart display product?
In response to visitor inquiries, SmartControl illustrated with its Legendary and Sparkle LCD series: the Legendary series covers 23.1 to 49-inch large screens and bar-type displays, ideal for supermarket and department store environments requiring large-area product presentation; the Sparkle series offers 10.1 to 15.6-inch vertical screens, better suited for high-end dining and drugstore settings that prioritize brand aesthetics and personalized displays.

Addressing customer interest in integration with ESL products, SmartControl used the fresh food format as an example: ePaper shelf labels handle pricing and basic information, while LCD smart signage carries product visuals and dynamic promotional content — the two work together to enhance both information completeness and visual appeal.

As SmartControl's next-generation ePaper shelf label, the Q series also drew considerable attention. In warehouse clubs and consumer electronics retail environments with high SKU density and limited shelf space, the Q series — featuring an impressive 70.8% screen-to-body ratio and compact housing design — can carry more product information, significantly improving shelf space utilization.

In addition, SmartControl's new printer was another exhibition highlight. The product meets needs for retail label printing, temporary signage, and product information output, working in coordination with store digital systems to provide supplementary capabilities for daily retail operations.
In recent years, SmartControl has continued to expand its retail technology product portfolio while accelerating its presence in the Asia-Pacific market. The exchanges at these exhibitions revealed that retail enterprises are looking beyond individual device upgrades — they seek holistic improvements in store operations and consumer experience through multi-terminal coordination. SmartControl will continue leveraging its diverse product portfolio and multi-scenario solutions to support the digital transformation of Asia-Pacific retail.
Dual-Show Debut — Connecting More Industry Scenarios Through Smart Displays
From the retail digitalization product portfolio at NRF 2026 APAC to its presence in the E Ink ePaper Zone at COMPUTEX, SmartControl further validated the application value of its products and solutions across different scenarios.
While both exhibitions have drawn to a close, the conversations continue. Looking ahead to the digitalization needs of global retail and diverse industry formats, SmartControl looks forward to collaborating with more global partners to advance product innovation and scenario adaptation — connecting more industry scenarios through smart displays and digital capabilities.
