At COMPUTEX 2026 (June 2–5), Netronix Inc., a global leader in ePaper application solutions, unveiled a 31.5-inch full-color ePaper advertising display powered by Yanhe perovskite photovoltaic cells. This product achieves fully passive operation of commercial-grade ePaper display equipment for the first time — requiring no external power supply or battery replacement, it operates continuously on ambient light alone, making it the most closely watched technological breakthrough in the green technology sector at this year's exhibition.
The new product integrates E Ink's latest E Ink Spectra™ 6 color ePaper technology, Netronix's mature display systems, and Yanhe Technology's self-developed "Qiguang" perovskite power generation module. It addresses the core pain point of low-power electronic devices relying on external power or frequent battery replacement. The power system has passed rigorous commercial-grade validation, achieving continuous self-generation under normal indoor lighting to support uninterrupted device operation. The "Qiguang" module is ultra-thin and lightweight, naturally blending into the product's overall design. It offers an indoor service life of up to 10 years with no battery replacement needed, dramatically reducing full-lifecycle maintenance costs while eliminating battery waste at the source. With weak-light power generation efficiency far exceeding that of amorphous silicon, "Qiguang" opens a new technical pathway for the comprehensive passive upgrade of low-power electronic devices.

This 31.5-inch full-color ePaper signage features vibrant, brilliant colors with display quality comparable to printed posters. Its slim, narrow-bezel design can be customized to seamlessly fit various commercial scenarios. Screen transitions are smoother, with ultra-low power consumption for greater energy efficiency, and the displayed image persists even after power disconnection. Content can be updated remotely via a mobile app with one tap, or managed in bulk through a centralized backend — no on-site operation required. The product is easy to install and maintain, making it suitable for a wide range of commercial display applications including retail price tags, mall posters, conference room door signs, transit directions, hospital notices, and hotel menus.

Themed "AI Together," this year's COMPUTEX focused on the global energy challenges posed by AI computing power. ePaper, with its bistable characteristic that consumes power only during screen updates, has become a key solution for green digital infrastructure in the AI era. According to industry data, the global ePaper commercial display market is projected to grow at a compound annual rate exceeding 35% from 2026 to 2030, with market size expected to surpass $50 billion by 2030. Power supply limitations have long constrained ePaper deployment in scenarios without wiring. This passive solution reduces installation costs by over 60% compared to traditional active products, with near-zero full-lifecycle maintenance costs — not only accelerating replacement in existing markets but also unlocking significant new market demand. Combined with zero carbon emissions during operation, it fully aligns with global carbon neutrality trends and green procurement policies worldwide.
Previously, Yanhe Technology has partnered with multiple ePaper companies including Xingtai Technology, Jinyatai, Meikai Innovation, and Fengzhuo Technology, launching several passive ePaper terminal products such as electronic desk signs and electronic photo frames.

Netronix has consistently embedded environmental sustainability throughout its product lifecycle. This collaboration represents a significant practice in deep integration of new energy technology with display technology, advancing a low-carbon strategy. Looking ahead, both parties will continue to deepen the integration of perovskite and ePaper technologies and their commercial deployment, building a smart, efficient, green, and low-carbon next-generation display ecosystem.
