On August 27, 2025, the 3rd E-Paper Industry Innovation Conference (ePIC 2025) was grandly held at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center during the 24th International Internet of Things (IoT) Exhibition. The conference was guided by the E-Paper Industry Alliance and co-hosted by CINNO・ePaper Insight, Shenzhen IoT Industry Association, and Shenzhen Commercial Display System Industry Promotion Association.

Focusing on innovations and creations in the e-paper industry over the past year (2024-2025), the awards ceremony for the 2024-2025 E-Paper Industry Creativity & Innovation "Pioneer" Award was announced and held at ePIC 2025. A number of enterprises were honored and showcased their innovations/creations as well as the stories behind them.

Congratulations to DKE on Winning the "Pioneer" Award for E-Paper Technological Innovation at ePIC 2025

Based on Organic Thin-Film Transistor (OTFT) technology, DKE has launched the world’s first mass-produced flexible e-paper display module. It replaces silicon with organic polymer materials and adopts a plastic substrate, enabling 180-degree bending and impact resistance, while reducing thickness by 80%. Through a low-temperature manufacturing process (cutting energy consumption by 70%) and an innovative bending lamination process, the module solves the problem of circuit integrity under extreme bending. Combined with an all-plastic structure, it achieves integrated flexible bending and touch functionality. Equipped with an e-paper film, its power consumption is only 1/1000 of that of traditional solutions. The module has been applied to the Ledger Stax crypto wallet, unlocking the potential of flexible displays in multiple fields.
