Folding smartphones have gradually become commonplace and no longer surprise anyone, but folding e-books have not yet been and this omission hastened to correct the Chinese company Readmoo.
Here's What We Know
Readmoo has introduced MooInk V - the world's first foldable e-book.
The device received an 8″ E Ink screen, which, according to the manufacturer, will withstand more than 200 thousand folding.
Readmoo said that it took it nine years to develop the e-paper effect gadget.
It is claimed that the MooInk V will not have an external display, while the internal one uses E Ink's Gallery 3 display technology. The e-book can also be opened at a 90° angle, and its dimensions will be more compact than the popular Kindle, although the exact dimensions are not yet specified.
The body of the device is made of aluminium-magnesium alloy and its weight is 225 grams.
The launch date and price of the MooInk V has not been announced.
